"What's unique about this fly is, much like the Sunny Side Up, this fly is heavy, gets down quick and always rides hook point up.
It's an excellent lead fly on a suspension rig but an even better anchor fly on a tight line system.
Most egg sucking leech patterns resemble a wooly bugger and have a design profile that is usually better suited to being stripped.
The Sunny Side Leech can be presented in a pure dead drift without the need to add any additional weight and it looks just like an egg sucking leech would look in nature.
When fishing this fly, make sure to let it swing at the end of the drift, many trout have been fooled by some of my very 'new to the sport' clients by letting this fly swing!"
