"After 5 year of trying to find the right materials and hook the Square Up Craw came together.
I designed this pattern to represent a small crawdad that has chosen to stand its ground and defend its self rather than run.
I noticed the strong reaction from the carp as I slowly crawled this fly in front of them and they jumped right on it.
The hook is Key in this pattern as it allows for the curved up body giving it the defensive stance as well as a super sharp point that is hard for the carp to spit back out giving you another second to come tight."
