The Loco Ant has gained a following from Reno to Sac to Northern California. Perhaps what it lacks in ant–realism is more than compensated by the fact the trout seem to go nuts over this fly. Many times, when ants are on the water, this pattern fishes circles around any other ant pattern. Guess the fish have voted. Very durable. Terrific also for stillwaters. Killer pattern for new Zealand.
