These sparkling patterns are an example of newer materials inspiring a fly design. The advent of "Jelly Rope" and Master Brite dubbing were the inspiration for the pink color. While it is shaped like a small stone, the hot pink can serve as simply brite Great Lakes attractors for steelhead or trout.
• Abdomen is Jelly Rope
• Thorax is Master Brite with a wingcase of Thin Skin. These have been proving their effectiveness for five years in Erie and Ontario waters, and have found a home for tailwater trout also. Perhaps they are stoneflies in shape only. More to the point they are as attractive as Nuke Eggs or any bright Estaz fly.
