"The Humbug Midge was designed for fishing to technical tailwater trout on the South Platte River.
Unlike the Graveyard Midge, which is designed as an emerger pattern, the Humbug Midge is intended to be fished day in and day out during those times when hatches are scarce or nonexistent.
The contrasting abdomen/rib colors and brilliant fluorescent orange wing buds make the fly very visible to trout when presented at any level in the water column.
Since its inception, Humbug Midge has been highly effective at catching trout anywhere and everywhere midges and trout are found cohabitating in flowing water.
Though it fishes well from top to bottom, it has been most effective as the trailing fly in Euro nymph or indicator nymph rigs."
