Miles was born and raised in Northern California and learned to target trout from his grandpa at an early age around Grass Valley, CA. After moving up to Truckee, CA at the age of 19, he began to fall down the rabbit hole that is fly fishing. 15 years later he continues to live and breathe trout fishing in the Sierra Nevada mountains that he calls home.
With a heavy focus on California waterways, he has explored numerous rivers, lakes and streams throughout the entire state. In June of 2020, he pursued his dream of opening a fly shop in Truckee and began Trout Creek Outfitters. He is currently in the shop sharing his love of the sport on nearly a daily basis and is truly living his idea of “the dream”.
