Scott grew up in Colorado and started tying thread ants at age 7. He figured out quickly that supplying flies to his grandfather,father, uncles and cousins was a great way to get attention. After a brief and boring run in the business world he gave in to his heart and became a flyfishing guide where he has worked ever since. He currently guides in Vail, Colorado for Minturn Anglers.
Scott recently spent 3 years working alongside the legendary Permit guide Lincoln Westby and has since started his own guiding operation (South Water Adventures) in Hopkins, Belize.
He is also a filmmaker and comedian. His most recent film (“Breaking Through, The Story of Larry Fivecoats”) was featured in the 2015 F3T.
