I have been fly fishing for 73 years. I have written two book on fly fishing and many magazine articles. I did six fly fishing videos as an advertising vehicle for Chevy Trucks and they were some of the first videos on outdoor sports to come out. I started tying flies in 1960. At that time there were almost no synthetic materials or dubbing. No road kill was ignored. I have demonstrated fly tying in 26 States and the U.K.. I belonged to a fly fishing speaker’s bureau. I was a part time fly fishing guide for 41 years. I have worked with the Sportsmen’s Expo for 31 years. What is most amazing to me is that I am not a lot better at fly tying and fly fishing considering my experience. I have a catch-and-release limit and encourage other anglers to do the same.
