Signature Tyer
We were deeply saddened to lose former Umpqua employee Dave Student. Dave was a highly valued member of the Umpqua family both as a Signature Fly Tyer and an Umpqua employee (2016-2020).
His commercial fly-tying background made him an ideal fit for managing new fly development and overseeing the flies of over 200 Signature Fly Tyers. He was always very generous with his expertise.
Dave's legacy remains at Umpqua in the form of many very effective fly patterns including the Fishalicious, Megalopsicle and Cocktail PT.
He will be greatly missed by the Umpqua family and the fly-fishing community.
