Growing up around the Charleston, South Carolina coast I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be immersed in one of the most distinctive fisheries in the South East. I’ve been tying and fishing for the greater majority of my lifetime, and am constantly looking to develop and improve my approach at the highest possible level.
I started tying at the age of 9, and began commercially selling flies to my local shop at 12 years old. From a very young age I became infatuated with the process of tying and developing effective fly patterns, just as much as I enjoy fishing them. Hours upon hours of personal experience on the water is also a major contribution to the foundation of every pattern that leaves my vise, backed by trial and error, the personal success of others, and experience. I've also been fortunate enough to travel around and fish a handful of diverse saltwater destinations such as the Yucatan peninsula, the Bahamas, the Florida keys, the Everglades, and all up and down the East Coast, attributing to the overall versatility of a majority of my patterns.
Currently, I am based out of Charleston, tying commercially for individuals all around the United States and beyond. Over the years, I've developed a generous selection of all water fly patterns tested by hard core anglers all around the world in locations such as the Seychelles, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Christmas Island, The Carribean, and countless other destination locations.
