Zach VanDeHey
Signature Tyer
Zach VanDeHey started fishing at the age of 6 and picked up a fly rod for the first time at 11. He was always bumming rides to the local lake and fishing pretty much any roadside stream he could find. After being given a starter fly tying kit for his birthday, Zach landed his first cutthroat trout on a hand-tied fly. He was instantly hooked and has never looked back.
Currently, Zach spends most of his time fishing rivers and lakes in central Oregon & Washington but is always up for a road trip across the western rivers of the United States in search of wild trout.
He has recently started to fly fish competitively and plans to continue this endeavor into the future. Away from fly fishing, he holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Art and works as a product designer for an outdoor company. Zach also enjoys hiking in the Columbia River Gorge with his wife and four kids.
