"I designed the Firecracker Stone because I was looking for a Stonefly to euro nymph in rocky mountain streams and rivers specifically for picky trout.
The Firecracker Stone has a slender and tightly wrapped body that cuts through the current quickly and with just enough flash to capture the attention of the fish but not so much that it’ll scare away the picky feeders.
The flash used for the wing casing of the Firecracker Stone is completely unique to it, it catches the light from all directions.
The use of a scud hook and Umpqua jig bombs to keep it riding hook point up preventing snags and presents a much more realistic visual for the fish.
